What is an exit permit?
It is a permit issued by the Department of Immigration upon completion
of the contract of the foreign worker subject however to the surrender of the Work Permit/Identity cards of the concerned
foreign worker by the recruiting agency/employer concerned.
How do I process for Exit Permit and Refund of the Security Deposit?
- Within seven working days from the date of expiry of the validity of work permit you will have
to produce the foreign worker in person to the Immigration Check Post. The Check Post Officer will
then verify the documents and issue a Repatriation Certificate.
- You have to then produce the Repatriation Certificate and the security deposit receipt in orginal
to the Dy. Secretary, AFD, MoHCA who will then refund the Security Deposit with interest accrued thereof.
